The Madison Corps Project (MCP) is the first of its kind. We intend to include all Madison-based drum corps organizations: current members of the Madison Scouts and alumni from the Madison Scouts & Junior Scouts, Capitolaires & Petites, Capital Sound, South Wind (under MDBCA), and State Street Review.
This project proposal is for group participation in the next MCA project. We are targeting 2028, though we may have a few performance opportunities before then.
Facts:
- Everyone participating would be responsible for their transportation to future projects and back home.
- While at the destination, housing, rehearsal facilities, transportation to all necessary locations, and most of your meals would be provided.
- Your cost will be determined early enough to allow for sufficient savings.
- The event would determine time commitment. All music and guard work would be available well in advance.
- Information about our uniform, equipment, music, design, staff, and other performance-related areas will be announced after we review our initial survey results and determine that sufficient demand warrants moving forward.
- We will be using B-flat horns and investigating lighter-weight percussion equipment options.
- For any performance, all participants must be in excellent health.
The registration process is always open. It includes making a refundable $100 participation deposit, which you can pay by check or PayPal (Credit Card).
